Versailles- At Versailles, ambitious nobles competed for royal appointments. It was the home of the royal court of Louis XIV. In 1789, angry women of Paris from the lowerclass marched into Versailles and took the royal family under guard because of food shortage.
The Meeting Hall of the Estates-General was locked and blocked, not letting the Third Estate in, so they moved to a near by tennis court and called themselves the National Assembly and pledged to be together until they wrote a constitution with limited monarchy.
Royal Troops gathered in Paris.
Storming Of Bastille- Bastille was a large armory and prison for debtors in Paris, and it was attacked by workers in 1789. The masses got arms for insurrection.
Austria- France declared war on Austria.
